No offence but Bolton are hardly an inspiring story of a rise from adversity. You are probably coming to back league 1 with us ffs

Great, thanks for that. Its difficult to see any light at the moment. You are correct but its reliant on us getting new owners.Hi, Bolton fan here, please don't crucify me!
I've been reading some comments about your current situation, and I've just come here to try and reasure you if I can.
I know we are both fighting for our lives and Bolton aren't anywhere near safety yet, but if you do go down to League 1, it isn't the end, in fact it might be the start of something new for your club.
We went down to League 1 2 seasons ago, with just 30 points, a record low, had near 200m in debt, players and staff wages not paid, and in the news constantly for all the bad reasons.
But slowly we rebuilt in League 1, got new owners, new manager and enjoyed one of my favourite seasons as a Bolton supporter, in comparison to misery we endured in the Prem and Championship. We didn't win the league, but to see everybody smiling again was very rewarding after the last 6 years of our decline.
League 1 is an appalling league, and all I'm saying is if Bolton could get promoted, you certainly can. Seeing a near packed out stadium for the last few home matches was incredible again.
I really hope you stay up, and hopefully in the future Sunderland vs Bolton will be a premier league match again.
All the best.
With respect.
We honestly didn't believe we'd have a club or at least be relegated to League 2 due to an automatic points deduction.
To be 19th in the Championship with a squad worth £0, we are certainly very happy. We could certainly still go down yes.
But I'm just trying to suggest that if the worst does happen to your club you can certainly bounce back on the 1st attempt.
^^ this!
I went to Bolton in the FA Cup when they were winning 2-0 but we pulled it back to 2-2 when Connor Wickham played out of his skin. That was a cracking day out.
and I met @Keawyeds as well![]()
One of my best mates at school was a bolton fan as you were starting your metioric rise from the fourth division(at the time). You appointed Bruce Rioch and suddenly pulled players like Alan Stubbs, Jason McAteer, John McGuinley, Alan Thompson etc (also owen coyle who he loved but I thoight was utterly shit). out of your arse in the 2nd division (current league one.) and two or three years later I was at matches with him watching you in the premier league while we were a still mediocre first division side.Hi, Bolton fan here, please don't crucify me!

I disagree mate but it's all about opinions. They have defenders that'll put their body on the line and a physical presence in midfield. It's obvious they have a better strikeforce as well. Nearly all of their players would get in our team. They have a much better balanced squad. Although they're limited they don't have the major deficiencies we have.Boltons line up vs Reading

Admittedly our players have been a massive let down but the likes of Oviedo, Kone, Cattermole, Williams, McGeady, MacManaman, Fletcher, Gibson, McNair, O'Shea etc should have been able to achieve mid table in this league without too much trouble. Until January we were also able to call upon Grabban and Ndong I just cannot understand how we've been so bad.

Still have a soft spot for Bolton since then and I hope that you stay up! I'm pretty sure that we are absolutely fucked and the bwst we can hope for is to be more like Leeda than Coventry or Portsmouth!

Based on performances you can’t argue they have been better as the respective league positions demonstrates. At the start of the season though if you asked 100 netral fans to say who they thought had the better players I bet the majority would say SAFC.
Unfortunately the players we have just don't give a rats ass.
It's just names though. Just because Paddy McNair has Man United on his CV doesn't mean anything on a Saturday afternoon when the referee blows the whistle. He's not proven on the pitch.Based on performances you can’t argue they have been better as the respective league positions demonstrates. Unfortunately the players we have just failed to perform.

I bet you didf***ing loved watching Okotcha play.
None of that squad are as bad as Camp/Ruiter/Steele, Jones, Browning, Fletcher, Love and that's before you get round to Rodwell hanging around taking the pissBoltons line up vs Reading

I think you encountered 2-12 owlbears, but 6-36 bugbears...I still remember now lolNot as worrying as an owlbear tho

Bugbear ... I like itTheir what?
To be fair it wasn't that long ago when Bolton were Arsenal's bugbear team & we've achieved no better over the last 10 years. Thanks for the post, but our player issues are on a different galaxy.
don't take offence some arsey fuckers on here man
p.s. Bolton are a shit club with a shit ground in the middle of f***ing nowhere with no boozers nearby and your stadium is named after some shite f***ing trainers now fuck off
