Cost me 2k on a Mazda 5 and not at a main dealer. This was also about 6 year ago

Aye, if it’s less than £2k for a turbo I’d be highly surprised. As Yamar said, if the turbo has collapsed you want to hope it hasn’t sucked the bearings through to the engine and be careful as it can also run away on its own oil and destroy the engine.

Fingers crossed it could just be a vacuum pipe, intercooler pipe or wastgate etc.

Hope the warranty covers it fully.

Are the BMW one, can't fault the warranty, debating if it's worth Arguing with BMW if I should have to pay the excess as it's only done 40k miles.
