Blockyard Brew Co brewery Roker

I was surprised that their only draught lager was Fosters.
Is that just to wash your feet in? 😏

Tried a couple of their ales over the Queen Vic a couple of weeks ago and they were OK but not outstanding, hopefully having their own place they can get a bit more experimental, great addition to the Sunderland drinking scene though, will be giving it a go 👍

Three of their own cask. All insipid. Beavertown, fosters.

Saving grace was a keg of Freddy’s Drop

Playing to the passing crowd. It’s a smart move tbh.
You don’t really want a passing crowd in there though. It’s for people who go for the drink as opposed to a drink?

Saying that, I’ve had struggles with people in Vaux cos they can’t get John Smiths or Guinness. Even Black Wave wasn’t good enough. Peasants.

I was thinking that the beer snob crowd will visit once, try the beers and probably not bother with a return. The beer really needs to improve that much. He’s probably going to have to rely on the pint of fosters trade to keep it going.
