Blaming Ellis is a bit Mag-esque

He has invested.

We’ve had brilliant players.

We got to a cup final.

We had 10 years in the PL.

He didn’t leave quickly enough but to blame him solely is insane.

Blame Moyes, Grayson and Coleman.

Blame Byrne and Bain and DiFanti.

But don’t just blame the owner. He had the right intentions IMO.

Choose life !

Ah right, so the person at the top who agrees to all the decisions/makes all the decisions - sanctions the spending and the hiring and firing of managers - is the one that we shouldnt blame?

A novel and interesting concept.

He is at the top of the tree and he ultimately carries the can.

Had you down as a decent poster mate till I read that OP.

Was Short in competition with anyone when Niall persuaded him to buy the club ? No ? Short could (easily) argue that he's been let down. He's been persuaded to buy something that is a complete nightmare to the tune of £200 million with no resale value. This is a hugely successful self made man remember. Is there even 1 person interested in buying our club ?

Not just the owner though. But the chairman. how long now, 3/4 years. In which has been the most rapid part of the decline. Not sure how you can blame the last two managers (no matter how bad they have been) who have had no support whatsoever and stand up for the owner/chairman. Just weird.

Whether blame is the right word or not, he is responsible for this mess.
