Blackburn Commentary Said This Today (unless my ears...)

Genuinely do people think that one of the questions when applying should be “Are you a mag?” And if they answer “yes” then their application binned off. Don’t think that would go down to well with discrimination employment laws.
How would anyone know? If they are interviewing and one of the candidates is 100% a SAFC fan then they could just give to the without having to justify a thing and about this sort of thing

For temps i’d agree if they’re down servicing in the concourse or whatever I wouldn’t be arsed what they’d be saying unless they’re threatening people like the ticket office mag .

If this blokes in a Sunderland suit and welcoming visitors and away teams I’m unsure if he’d be a temp. Needs looked into first.

Fair point

If someone working at tesco acts like a twat do you instantly blame the CEO?

Of course not, but it's not just about that is it. The incident is emblematic of a malaise that seems to run right through the club - the state of the ground, the ticket office fiascos, kit and merchandise fiascos, all if which were evident last season. When you combine that with some of the decision making that has left us with a poorer team this season it just suggests that there is a lack of care at every level. Nee pride amongst employees, nee sense that it's going to get better. When you have so many issues, at every level - then you have to look at the CEO.

I know that at one time SAFC directly employed people. Chaperones, chauffeurs, and even the stewards. However that seems to have changed now and alpha security certainly appear to employ stewards, outside stewards re roads (I actually wonder what powers they actually have in performing these roles). As I have mentioned before, the steward who tends to behave inappropriately (trying to be diplomatic here) is definitely employed by Alpha security and not by the club.
I suspect the club has given tasks on a contractual basis to Alpha and that contract will run until it ends. As it is an employee employed by a n other, I do doubt that the club has any right to discipline. That would be up to his employer.
I would suggest, that it would be important to bring to the attention of the stadium security manager any inappropriate behaviour by stadium / stewarding staff.
I think it is clear what is inappropriate behaviour.
So if people have complaints, put them in writing, in a polite manner being factual and concise and send the to the security manager at black cats house.
The security manager will need evidence of inappropriate behaviour and by whom in order to further influence this action.

I worked for a company that contracted security out. The manager of the security company was observed shouting at the receptionist (an employee of the security firm). He was reported to our own HR department. He was never seen again 😆

Steve neill is not a mag. he shares no allegiance to the football and is an ex rugby player.

The mag is the guy from alpha security who thinks he is the boss and is totally inappropriate and rude. He may however be the senior person on site from alpha security.

I know it’s not really my place as I tend to stick to the Ipswich threads but to me that is absolutely disgraceful.

If one of our lot said that to an opposition team before a game, I’d be disgusted. But to then say they’re a Norwich fan too would be so far over the line for me and ought to be a sackable offence really.

There you go, even a fan of a club with no link to us can see it

I know a Boro steward who occasionally works at the SOL.
He is very respectful of SAFC , as they help “ put food on his table “.

Which is how the majority would go on , if you were working for a club that is not your own. You would keep any negative thoughts to yourself.
This clown has basically said he hoped his employers fail. To a rival. Has to be insubordination and gross misconduct.

Shouldn’t be too hard to identify , Sunderland suit , greeting the press. I would be looking at what tickets the kernt had access to for the Derby as well

Can't really blame the club for employing the bloke but they need to find out who he is and get rid.
I remember a motivational speech once at work who said you have external assassins (competitors) and internal assassins - and the internal one's are much worse. They destroy morale.
