I seem to remember them getting a work permit for Brad Friedel after us and others had tried for years without success, two sets of rules marra.If you can remember, we were forced to remove our black cat logo from our shirt around 99/2000. I thought it was a great touch and it seemed quite harsh when we were made to remove it and or cover it up by the Premier League/FA.
I was looking at the new Liverpool third strip and noticed they have a torch on their top with a reference to the 96 that lost their lives at Hillsborough. I think that's good but is this not justification that we should also be able to adorn a black cat on our shirt if we wish?
Liverpool also have the following quote on their shirt: "Liverpool players must play like a lion". Yes corny, but is this any different to our black cat? It seems there are rules for one and rules for another. If their stance has changed, then we should get the black cat on our shirts asap.
