Birmingham City Finances

Mags of the Midlands

Lots of money
Claim corruption because they can't spend all the money they have
Spend a tonne of money anyways
Buy shite strikers who don't fit their system
Finish midtable

Except they're a league below the visitors so it's even worse.

I thought they were going to "take Rigg off us?" What happened there? I'm surprised he turned down the glowing opportunity to join the fourth best team in their local area, which also happens to be a rat infested shithole

That was before they were promoted. I'm guessing they didn't fancy him in the Championship. I'm sure Riggy was gutted.

Aah the well worn path of American owners treating a club like a casino with frivolous front end investment to try and get on the Premier League teet.

Lots of grandiose ambitions, but Americans scarcely possess a sense of tradition, culture and community. If it becomes a money pit, and the consequences for over spending start mounting up, they'll be away.

I’m sure he only got 20 in a record breaking league 1 side and 10 of them were pens. Was an absolutely stupid signing at the price they paid
It was their mental owner trying to prove a point about a player the fans loved. Fulham took the piss with the fee probably knowing his limitations whilst Birmingham fans were thinking they’d forced the hand of a PL club for one of their best young talents. Total PR stunt from someone who knows nothing about football
