Bill Baileys Perfect Pub Walks

Just watched the Alan Davies one. Really good viewing.

Davies seems really troubled, mind. Scarred for life from a horrific childhood.

Hopefully being open about his experience has taken some weight off his shoulders.

Watched the first two. Couldn't help but find my self comparing it to Whtehouse and Mortimer. Maybe it's because the characters aren't northerners , but it didn't really get going for me.
I can see Dangermows point that it's not set up to be a comedy.
I found it a tad boring .

Not really a fan of Bill Bailey, or a lot of his guests, but the concept is a good one, pubs and walks, its easy to watch, been in a few of the pubs he visits as well.

Will get round to watching one
We always have to compare things
Same with bands etc
I assumed it would be more low key like winter walks
I can only watch so many of the fishing ones
Love Bob but find Whitehouse a bit dull and Grumpy and I don't like fishing

No but it's not In The Psychiatrist's Chair either.

Merton was attempting to be funny all the way through, i think it would have been pitched as wry but fails.
He's the same in his motorhome
It's funny on hignfy but full on all day would annoy the hell out of you
He either has the grump look and tries to make a quip non stop .
Any good pub walks in the North East? Basically easyish, scenic and with a couple of pubs as part of the route.
You could knock something together out of Herrington past the stables into Penshaw I suppose .
Staypleton arms in hawthorn village from seaham along cliffs through Dene .
