Bid rejected for Clarke

I’d hope that any interest from the PL clubs would be rejected out of hand but failing that we should be valuing Clarke using the metrics of Alex Scott’s supposedly imminent move to Bournemouth for £25m as our starting position.
Alex Scott is very highly rated and spoken of as a future England International . He made the EFL team if the year at 18/19 and hasn't had a failed move to a premiership team.
Clarke is very good but not at the potential value of Scott .

I don’t disagree re Scott’s potential upside but there is also the potential that he loses his way going to a PL club if he doesn’t get regular game time or fails to settle like Clarke did at Spurs.

Ultimately though, if Scott’s deal goes through it strengthens our hand to be asking at that level rather than the rumoured £15m we would previously have been prepared to consider/accept.

I dont know at how much the club value him at, but here is the response we should be giving.

We want a profit of £xmillion. You will pay the Spurs percentage, and also for his replacement. You dont like that well dont call us again.

I think LIverpool did this when they sold Torres to Chelsea and bought the Gypo from the mags

Burnley pushing to sign Daramy from Ajax, a Danish left winger, according to Fab Romano. Hopefully this puts to bed their interest although Palace will probably be interested after losing Zaha and Olise being tracked by City.

And each day closer to the deadline, the price goes up by a million.

His worth to us puts it in the same ballpark regardless imo.

Burnley now allegedly negotiating with Ajax over Mohamed Daramy, another attacking left winger.
They're not gonna come back in for Clarke

If they get big money for olise and have the Zaha wages off the books you'd imagine they'd be gunning after better than Clarke, could be good for us
