Downie is such a disgrace. Never reports on anything positive to do with us but all over it when it's about a player sale or a negative. Out in America (so were we but he never mentioned any of it) with the Mags acting like he's doing a fanzine vlog. Spends time chirping at Sunderland fans on twitter and playing to his mag supporter base. Genuinely wouldn't let him in the Stadium on the rare occasions he tries to turn up.
 
Suppose 9 million is in the region of 30 million in the big scheme of things. At least we are talking pounds and not bananas or those discarded pull tops from coke cans

What’s the game plan for them? If they really value Clarke, shouldn’t they be bidding more like £10m initially then moving quickly to £15m

Yeah but that's comparing rumours online, not even paper talk, to words from the player's agent and manager themselves.

This reported bid isn't much more than the last. We're not even talking about a well established Premier League side. It's Burnley.

I accept every player has a price and he's good enough to make the step up, but it's all doom and gloom on here with every rumour doing the rounds online. It would be interesting to see the percentage of reported transfer bids that are actually true or successful compared to the amound of pants that are ruined every time one of our players is linked with a move.

It's funny when some on here say 'but his agent said he's happy'. Burnley are getting encouragement from somewhere to bid and fishpaste is right that everybody has the same story.

His agent is chasing this deal imo
