I'd be very surprised if Clarke signed a new deal this summer.

Id be f***ing delighted mind, but surprised.

Why?
He’s earned one and the club will recognise that.

And it doesn’t mean he’ll stay here any longer than another year (I think we all accept that will probably be the case anyway). It will be absolutely certain that while Clarke gets the money his talent deserves there will be a release clause in there agreeable to all parties. A new deal right now for Clarke would make total sense for everybody.

I wouldn’t, he’s had his “big money move” a while back to spurs and it didn’t work out, he’s loving it here.. as he’s openly expressed. The club will naturally want to protect their assets so I feel it works for both parties, as well as obviously keeping the likes of me and you happy

I know there hasn't been any keeness from Stewart's side to sign an extension mate. Unless something has recently changed that.
