Bid rejected for Clarke

This has got to be a joke or he’s trolling...Surely?

Yes it’s Nixon and hel be ridiculed but he does get bits about us right. Those numbers quoted though - they can not be real.
I've backed Nixon lately but he needs shooting with shit on this one...3 yrs left on Clarke's and we want £10mill??? Aye, reeto
I am not worried about the fee, as I think we will get what we want, I will however be gutted if he leaves
3 yrs left on contract, suggests everything is in our court.

The lad will only be sold for a minimum of £18m. 30% of the profit we make from him (£18m less £2m paid) equates to £16m x 30% sadly means £4.8m will go to Spurs with us pocketing 13.2m, how much of that upfront would obviously be negotiated. Let’s remember we remain in an absolute pole position both in terms of the length of his contract and interest from other previously mentioned PL clubs. If Everton as seems likely decide to sell Simms I could see them seriously coming in for Clarke with a cash plus Simms offer.

£10 mill would be ridiculous. As an example, Semenyo went to Bournemouth from Bristol City for £10.5 mill in January with only 1 year left on his deal, fewer goal contributions and a year older than Clarke.

We're in a far stronger position than that with Clarke and his contract here.

Genuinely, you could triple it and I'd still be let down.

In this market, anything less than £20m would be bad business.

3-4 years left on his contract, English, 24 goal contributions last season, only 22 years old.
Yeah, I agree. I saw Gyokeres might be going for less than £20 million and started to doubt my valuation of Clarke.

If we accept anything less than £20m for Clarke then serious questions need to be asked about the owner.
Feel the same mate, but lets wait to see how pans out first before we go berserk.Club statement needed here, while I am pleased generally that we do things quietly ,this needs addressing immediately

Sure Keane Lewis-Potter went for closer to £20million from Hull to Brentford. That fee reported by Nixon that we’d accept seems very low.
