I've said twice now you have said Ian Harte wants Clarke to move on. That is literally what you've said. Aye I re-read after I typed. Apologies :lol:You are been condescending though. It's not like I've got a history of posting this type of thing. I don't have any ITK knowledge but I do know someone who is good friends with Harte. You obviously don't believe me so it's irrelevant.

Buying young, cheaper players will lots of potential, developing them, selling the odd one or 2 for profit and reinvesting that in more talented youngsters. Take out the number of goals scored by Amad, Clarke, Simms and possibly Stewart if he is well and truely crocked, and that is a lot of goals to replace. Imo it could not be done by signing youngsters with potential who have yet to find the net in senior football, such as Gelhardt types.

So hanging on to Clarke is very important.

I'm hardly being condascending. You've posted a very sketchy rumour on a message board and got defensive when it's been questioned. The black and white of it is Clarke has been described as happy at SAFC by numerous sources but one person in Wynyard has been told Ian Harte wants to move him on desipite saying the exact opposite in the press.

Okay fair do’s. He did say every player has a price to end the interview but I can’t be arsed to argue. I hope Jack signs a new 5 year contract and that’s the end of it.

About 5 champos have announced signings even if they cant register them till next wed.Mind the panic with Clarke is daft really he has 3 years left and imo will be here next season at least.

I am not panicking just pointed out to the bedwetters that he has 3 years left on contract we are in the driving seat.
 
The bottom line is that if Speakman is serious about pushing for top 2 this year, we will hang on to Clarke. It's too much of a risk for him to try and replace Diallo and Clarke's goal contributions last season in one window.
 
God l wish it was August or at least next week so we had The Ashes to concentrate on instead of the constant speculation on x y and z coming or leaving etc.
Just relax and trust in the management team to make decisions that in the best interests of SAFC.
What will be will be and we can hopefully get down to enjoying a new season with us continuing to make positive progress as we have done consistently since the arrival of KLD and his team.
