Bid rejected for Clarke

There are plenty of accepted bids turned down by players so I'm not sure where you've got that from. You need to factor in to the fact that he is contracted until 2026 which means we are in the position of strength. Nothing will happen unless the bid was way higher. Anything over £20M and we can really make use of that money for squad strengthening.

How many times does a bid get accepted but the player refuses to move? Doesn't happen often.

I would just tell any interested parties that we need to clear £10m after all expenses, sell ons, wages, agents fees, taxes etc.

Non- negotiable either.

As someone else mentioned, if Lewis-Potter went for £17m then Clarke should be going for more.

I’d love to think that we’ll keep him but the reality is that bids of £20m+ will probably see him gone.

Fabrizio Romano reporting we are negotiating a new contract with him as the club consider him "vital to promotion".
Be loads of people on here confused if he signed a new deal. When we allegedly don't want to keep people and only want to sell first chance we get.

All the tuppence ha'penny sports journo's will be spouting their shite now.
I am sure some of them just log into fan websites like this and try to pick the bones out of things, and then put their shite out on Twatter & Faceshite.

Shows that we have some ambition if true.
Selling him doesn't mean we don't have any though either. Getting 20m+ can improve the squad and make us a better side. He could also want to leave when we can't match PL money.

Far too many people think this is a simple are you ambitious or not.

I don’t want to loose Clark and has been said we should be building the team around these lads.

However, we are not stupid and if a serious bid comes in 99.9 if players have a price.

Given he is on a contract, we are not desperate to sell, we have a sell on clause and not to mention a billionaire owner…come back with £30m and we can talk.
