Better than Sheff United

Exactly right. We've also picked up 3 points where the match could have gone either way, so it all evens itself out. We're fourth in the league for a reason.
Yep.
How many times have you come from a losing position to win?
It all evens out and teams finish where they deserve to.

There have been a load of matches where we've had a good spell for say 20 minutes and the opposition have had their good 20 minute spell, generally not been much in the match. In most of those types of matches we haven't lost. Hull was coming because that can't go on forever.

But, better to struggle a bit now than with say 3 matches of the season left. There's time to put it right as it stands.

In the manager's defence, it really hasn't helped that he hasn't been able to put his best 11 out. Straight away when Mundle came on, we started to look a more threatening team and imposed ourselves a bit.

Not sure it’s luck tbh. We play a 3 man midfield and had 4 central midfielders fit at the start of the season. You could say it was unlucky that Browne got injured, but it was the clubs choice to sign an injured Samed meaning we only had 4 to cover 3.

When we did get Le Fee in January, we played him out of position and didn’t rest a clearly knackered Rigg. We’ve refused to play Aleksic despite him showing good signs, and shipped out Aouchice.

There were options available, the coach just decided not to use them.
6, you’re forgetting about Samed tho picked up two big injuries shortly after arriving.

The options available if everybody is fit were Neil, Jobe, Rigg, Brown, Samed, Aleksic.

Granted the decision not to use Aleksic more had been baffling. But losing Brown and Samed has meant little to no rotation all season and 3 very tired lads in the centre.
The delusion on here… “We’re so much better than the team 8 points ahead of us” when we’ve screwed up to Plymouth, Watford and Hull at home!

At least tonight has shown though, Sheff Utd are going to get royally thrashed in the PL next year!
Cheer up you miserable twat, it was a joke

Samed was injured when he was signed like.

while I agree they always look average they have players that just get them out of trouble and can grind wins.

Us and Leeds are the best 2 teams to watch but if you can’t have a bit grit about you and defend then you’re not going up
I can only think of a few games where we’ve been good to watch.
I agree. I'm still baffled how they're 2nd
Because they’re the second best team in the league at the moment.

He wasn’t meant to be out all season though was he? Like I’m sure he got injured again early after he arrived. Or am i confusing him with Abdullahi?

Nah he wasn’t supposed to be out for as long, but signing injured players is always a risk.

Just look at him and Poveda, both out for half a season with a small initial injury.

I think your recollection has been tainted by the fact you had to view the latter part of many games through the gaps in your fingers. We have played some lovely stuff this year, with lots of flair, we just haven’t put teams to the sword like we should.

Most other fans in the league agree that we are one of the most entertaining teams to watch.

Based on our games against them, and what I've seen of the others, we are the second best footballing side in the league.

Our lack of experience has meant we have dropped too many silly points elsewhere in games we should have won.

The Leeds - Hull fixtures summed us up. Put in an excellent performance against Leeds and on another night we take 3 points at Elland road. Then 6 days later we come up against a team fighting at the bottom of the league who employ a 'low block' and we can't break them down.

That is experience and squad depth to change the game in the same way Leeds did against us - two things we lack.
If we were the second best footballing team in the league, we’d be second.

Aye, but it’s back to the original point, we have been unlucky with injuries. We had 3 left wingers, 6centre mid, and 2 right wingers at the start of the season.

Yet we have played most of the season with no left wingers, 4centre mid, and one right wing.

I think we’ve played poorly more often than good, particularly this year. The league is so weak this season and yet we can’t beat the bottom teams at home. Anyone suggesting were better than Sheffield U and Burnley are delusional.
That's the danger if the manager doesn't address the problem.

He needs to pick his man who is going to add experience and a bit more physique in the middle of the pitch and stick with him, whomever he thinks that is. At the moment, we don't look capable of keeping a clean sheet unless we play a very poor Luton at home. It all stems from the middle of the pitch.
We haven’t got that man unfortunately.
