Better than Sheff United

And Plymouth and Watford and Leeds and Burnley.
Not really 'thrown anything away', just not been good enough to win those games.
Everyone can say they'd be higher up with more points if they'd won matches instead of drawn, or drawn matches instead of lost.
You're fourth because you're the fourth best team in the league as it stands.
Personally, I think you can still get second.
Bit of a tall order, expecting Burnley and Sheffield United to both have bad runs while you go on an unbeaten run, but it is possible - plenty points to play for.

We missed 2 penalties in injury time against Burnley and dropped 5 points to Plymouth who are absolutely shite. That's throwing away points.

The Leeds - Hull fixtures summed us up. Put in an excellent performance against Leeds and on another night we take 3 points at Elland road. Then 6 days later we come up against a team fighting at the bottom of the league who employ a 'low block' and we can't break them down.

Leeds controlled the match 20 minutes onwards, it wasn't a great performance at all, we didn't deserve anything out of the match.

I'd forget about Sheffield United because we have a bit to put right, we look like a mid table team at the moment. Not getting on top of teams, back four seeing far too much of the ball as a result.

We probably are. But that’s not how a league works - if we discard points in the games we need to win and they don’t then any quality advantage we have is completely hidden.

it will be like Luton all over again.

That's the danger if the manager doesn't address the problem.

He needs to pick his man who is going to add experience and a bit more physique in the middle of the pitch and stick with him, whomever he thinks that is. At the moment, we don't look capable of keeping a clean sheet unless we play a very poor Luton at home. It all stems from the middle of the pitch.

Yes but what I'm saying is everyone can talk about ifs, buts and maybes.
Didn't you get a late goal against Leeds due to a mistake by keeper?
Wasn't one of your penalties against Burnley the result of a foul OUTSIDE the box?
Your winning goal at Boro was an own goal (granted you deserved to win anyway).
Also, that's a bit dismissive (calling Plymouth absolutely shite) - they're obviously not shite and everybody who wants points against anyone else has to earn them - if you don't go up it's because you won't have been good enough.

Id fancy us against anyone in the play offs. Leeds are up but Sheff Utd and Burnley whilst not outstanding, they have been consistently average which has got them into the positions they are. Over 1 or 2 games i can see us beating either.

In six games time we could be closer to 2nd spot or dropping like a stone to 7th...... plenty of time for this season to pan out one way or the other, chill out lads 😎
