Me da used to have this class tape with a loada punky new wave stuff on - I'm sure the tape had summit to dee with Pepsi anarl - and it was class like. A few choice selections:

Turning Japanese - The Vapors (I associated Japanese with the Turtles so I thought this was great )
Back of My Hand - The Jags
Cool for Cats - The Squeeze (cowboys n indians, class )

Loved My Girl by The Temptations - still one of me fave songs of all time.

Classic albums on BBC 4 over the weekend was Pet Sounds

It left me with a love of distorted guitar, speeded up vocals and general oddness hence my later love of Frank Zappa, probably.
