My father (he played in a band mid to late 60s ) had a big influence on me from a young age ...obvious one was The Beatles but also likes Blues and Country on that basis I'll nominate RL Burnside for a couple...




Recall him doing slide with a bottle neck and thumping his feet for beat

Also he do a fair few Country mainly Hank Williams

Nights in White Satin and Dedicated to the One I Love always remind me of being taken to the Spanish City at Whitley Bay by my Grandma and Granda. Completely vivid memory and I wouldn’t have been much more than a toddler as they were both hits in 67.
