Unprovoked

Jesus f***ing christ. So SMB is provoked and deserved, yet FTM is vile and unprovoked attack?

Well, maybe provoked was the wrong word, what I meant was FTM pops up everywhere and anywhere SAFC go. SMB only really does so during the derbies or at least during situations with relevance to both teams (like the Clarkie incident).

this was written at the time

and the wicked Wearside wreckers besmirched the ‘scutcheon of Newcastle with a big blot that cannot be obliterated, even by Time, the great healer of wounds, Sunderland established a record in this match.

Of course they were right twats. Up there with the Norwich mag. I'm hardly bleating on about them though. Posted it once because it's a fantastic photo. So yes, they under the minority of 'super-' fans.
No, no, that's called back tracking. You used a picture of SAFC fans with an anti newcastle banner to show hateful and obsessed we are, but an NUFC picture with anti Sunderland stuff on is claimed as "just a piss take"

There is a photo somewhere on Wembley way of two blokes carrying a massive SMB banner . What has Man Utd versus Newcastle got to do with us?
What about "Have you ever seen a mackem in milan" sign in Milan?

No, I used it because someone was bleating on about that banner RTG imagined up.

SMB follows Newcastle everywhere as well, who are you trying to convince?

Me or yourself?

Does 'mackem in Milan' really need explained? It's quite clearly a case of piss taking and not some sort of hatred which was the main point we were arguing.

ME Many Sunderland fans were locked out of a capacity St. James' Park and had to watch the Sunderland reserve game and watch the scoreboard operator flash the score. Sunderland went 1-0 up on 28 minutes, and the Magpies equalized with a penalty on the stroke of half-time. Sunderland then went into unstoppable form, scoring 8 goals in 28 second half minutes. Sunderland effectively "declared" after 74 minutes. Billy Hogg (ironically, Newcastle born) and George Holley scored hat-tricks, Arthur Bridgett scored twice and Jackie Mordue once. All four of the goal-scorers for Sunderland were England internationals.

How many Mackems were in Milan to see it then?

at work....

One was mouthing off about 5-1 and how it will never be beaten, I said that we won 9-1 and his reply was " Our players went on strike that day and the club had to get people off the street to play, look at the history books, it is in there!"

Is that supposed to be informative or amusing? If so, failure on both counts .

I wasn't aware of any sign. You seen it though, and I'm sure many others have. Probably through the modern wonders of either photography or video recording. ;)

Seems you are not aware of much eh? Yet still you put up a pathetic defence in the face of overwhelming odds.
