It wasn't just renamed, the format changed. Actually.

Good grief.

to be fair, and I dont particually want to be drawn into this,

the cd's and fanzines were just a piss take and to be honest we had plenty of ammo at the time. If Sunderland ever had / have the ammo to do the same to us then Im sure you would, and id expect you to oblige.

Its all part of the rivalry, i didnt throw the toys out over the mary poppins flag etc as I fully expect to have the piss ripped if the occasion arises.

Well fuck off to your own forum then you mag twat.

If you want to be petty you can even move onto "Who's finished second in the top flight most times" and "Who's finished third in the top flight most times", the answer in both cases in Sunderland.

Finishes in the top three:

nufc = 11 times
Sunderland = 19 times, or is that 1-9 times ...

and of course if they want to be more current you have - which club has the most recent major competitive trophy?, which club was highest placed in the most recent season? and (my personal favourite) which club has the longest current run in the Premier League?

Same answer again.

love it

:) :)

that's part of the story - I believe the Sunderland team were keen to get on with the seasonal festivities and at 9-1 decided there was 'no point' in continuing, the humiliation of complete dominance being so clearly evident League positions by the end of the season may have helped to peg back our lead in that other department but the facts are simple.

Which of the two clubs hold the record winning margin?

Sunderland

Which of the two clubs hold the record winning margin without home advantage?

Sunderland

Is it just a derby record or an overall record?

Overall first class record held by Sunderland at Newcastle's expense

Moving on to League wins - which club has been English champions more often?

Sunderland.

It seems Sima it doesn't matter which way you look at it...

there is no shadoooooooow
there is no shadoooooooow
we've won the title more
we've got the 9-1 score
there is no shadooooooooow
