Depends on the beer. I’m going to a place that specialises in craft beer and Indian food a bit later, sounds like a good combination to me.

Good for you marra, now keep it up!
Thank you.
I thought of you the other week. Lidl had the Anthon Berg boxes you like on sale in their weekly paper. I thought about mentioning it to you at the time but am afraid I don't actually know if you have Lidls at your end ?
Unfortunately not and the duty free shop I used to get mine from has been running its perishable stock [chocolate] down (the entire strip is being re-developed) and I haven't seen any there for about 18 months, although they still have a glass display cabinet full of them!!
It's like showing a man dying of thirst water but not being prepared to sell him any.
I could bung some your way if you like. Would be no hassle as I pass the parcel counter a couple of times a week anyway and could easily drop some off for you. Just let me know.
Currently having a fish finger sarnie with a can of Stella. Good combo
One day at a time: keep going!Been too long.
Have not had the best of times health wise and a few weeks ago I had another setback which am still recovering from. But am still here and still just trotting on taking a day at a time, really. The situation has made me realise though what is important and what isn't and my patience with things and people are at an all-time low. I am finding it strangely easy to either just ignore people who piss me off or out right tell them what a waste of space and time they are. Something I haven't done before and it has come as a surprise to others and myself as well. I no-longer have time for fake, back-stabbing people which has already liberated a lot of my time, which is jolly nice.
All things being well I plan to be back in the NE in August and September. Are you still around ? Last I heard you had found a place in our ol' hunting grounds of Shildon ?
What on earth is that?Topinka is the correct answer to the op

One day at a time: keep going!
I bought a house in Shildon 4 years ago and I'll be moving back to the UK in June, after a year in Canada. In Vancouver just now, was out east (mostly Montréal) from June until late Jan. Depends on work station but ideally I'll be in Shildon in August/Sept for a pint if you're around!
It's closed a few times in the past few years but I think it is open again now. Despite being the closest pub to my house (now that the King Willy is a tea room), I've never been!Sounds good. Is the Fox & Hounds open again ? I wrote about the pub in one of my books after a new experience for me there out in the beer garden on a rainy day. Would be good to go back and see if anything has changed over the years.

Aye the Willy reopened a year or two back as Lord Elliott's, cocktail bar in the evenings and tea room day time. Then they shut down again for a few months and only just reopened late last year but just daytime now, just tea room. I've still never been in. My mam says it's quite nice but a bit pricey for Shildon. The Willy is a tea room now ? How is that going ?
Can't keep up on the times The Fox & Hounds have been closed and opened since I moved back home again. Last I heard a lesbian couple had taken over the pub but that is a while back now aleady. I liked it there though. Had some jolly good nights there playing pool. And the open fire made it very cosy, too. If the place is open again I hope they have kept that.
Is the tobacco shop still there ?

The lesbian couple who had the Fox is about 3 owners ago, I think! They were going to start doing meals but it never happened and they shut again, as far as I know. I'll ask my mam if it reopened.
The tobacco shop as in Sweet Greetings, the sweet shop with a big tobacco counter? Aye it's still open. If there's another tobacconist, I don't know it.
