Best cheeses for a toastie?



Need something that melts well and tastes decent.

Good cheddar is probably your best bet.

Provolone or Gruyère if you’re pushing the boat out.

Should always add something though, bit of onion, Worcestershire sauce, salami.. all good choices
 
I have always opted for a strong Cheddar. However I ran out the other week and found some left over Stilton, was a game changing moment for me.

Any cheese with strong taste for me. An extra mature Cheddar can be nice, better with some red onion.

Stilton, St Agur or a nice cheese for melting is gruyere
