Ben Stokes



I think he would only do it if he genuinely believed he could help and they needed him.
There is no front with Stokes. You get exactly what you see. If he says no, he probably means no.
That said, he seems to have a sense of duty and loyalty to "The cause", but I would be amazed if he were to change his mind on this.
 
Glen McGrath need a couple of ops on his ankle after he retired due to the amount of cortisone injections.

It masks pain and helps you play but does not treat the ongoing issue. Strange they still have not pinpointed what the problem is.
 
Marty told a story about an ex-SAFC footballer he bumped into a few years ago ( I forget his name). He had a knee injury and was given a cortizone injection each week so that he could play on the Saturday, and he had to retire early.

Marty then said "that was before they knew that cortione gave a temporary relief but made the condition worse and these days Prem footballers were only allowed 5 injections per ...... career!!
