Ben Duckett - drunk.

I am going to attempt to defend Duckett here...you can't keep them locked up in hotels for days on end, it's bad for mental health , morale and anxiety...these Noosa days were earmarked for the players to relax and no doubt get pissed...... unfortunately he's been videoed after getting lost. Cricket unlike most sports doesn't need you to be super fit. I myself have had many a better performance on the cricket pitch after a night on the piss.

On the other hand I'm waiting to be shot down here. He is a professional sportsman representing England, we were 2-0 down etc etc I do think it's bad but if he's been given license to go out and drink then it's the hierarchy to blame.
What's his excuse? ;), nah fair point. It's not a good look either way haha.

I’m sure that they weren’t earmarked to get drunk like ! At the elite level being superfit helps like . Look at Archer and Stokes . They look like professional athletes

He's been disciplined numerous times by the ECB about his drinking and behaviour and was on his final warning

Alcohol is also bad for mental health & anxiety, it’s a medical fact.

You can have good morale, mental health and do things to relax without getting smashed.

I agree with the first bit of your post but why did the team activities have to revolve around drinking? They’re in Australia ffs, there’s shit loads to do with your mates that don’t involve being on the piss.

Duckett needs the Ollie Robinson treatment imo. Seems like this isn’t his first issue with the drink and doubt it’ll be the last.

Perfect excuse to take him out of the firing line. He's looked mentally burnt out and the last thing he needs is to play with all the media circus around him now.

Professional elite sportsman should be allowed to relax and get away from the pressures during the series.

But professional elite sportsman during a series should not be getting that pissed that they can’t even find the way back to wherever they staying!!!

Hway mate there is a massive difference between the two

Only thing missing now is wacky baccy and prozzies.
Well if the rumours behind the continued mysterious disappearance of one of the England assistant coaches turns out to be true then this period in English cricket will be remembered for years for all the wrong reasons.
It's fair to say that the 'no d***head policy' McCullum apparently has brought in isn't going particularly well.

Is it getting to the point that the whole of England are willing the Aussies to batter this mob 5 nowt?

Probably not, but they are an absolute embarrassment.

I'd forgotten about that. Yes things could get even more interesting if this gets out.
