Yes they do collaborate to share their takings - The Kings Cross lot certainly do. It's not a scam tho.....it's just a bunch of people trying to make the best of what they have and being self-supporting. Don't ask me how they organise ir however.....clearly someone has to do it and maybe crime is involved .....who knows?
 

Homeless people - so sad.

What's worse is that because of contactless payments hardly anyone (including me) has change to give them.
Before lockdown I used to save up my £1 coins to give to the homeless at Kings Cross - I really need to start doing that again.

But - What I learned from an investment banker mate of mine who doubled up as a refuge centre helper around Trafalgar Square .... Is that what homeless people really want is some dialogue (worth more than money) you can fling 50p at them but really what they crave is some kind words..... to feel like they belong and still matter. Just a "hi how are you".

This thread has reminded me to get my act together.

Hate to break it to you, but there's a reason why the council, police, homeless charities all say don't give them money.
