Only other person I'd want owning us is Musk. I hate him as a person and hate his politics, but he can run a business better than anyone and he's always ahead of the curve for innovation and big ideas. Just the exposure from his name alone would take us to mars, imagine seeing Luke launched into space, Sunderland badge on the rocket, massive Tesla sponsor on our shirt.

Pass the ketamine

Trust us to bloody get into Europe then have our owner sell us to the Saudis meaning I have to bin off our first season in Europe for fifty years to go support Seaham Red Star ffs

The list of things to worry about is massive now.
1. KLD selling up :(
2. Le Bris poached :(
3. Geertruda not signing :(
4. Roefs leaving :(
5. Sadiki off :(
6. Brobbey leaving :(
Probably a few I’ve forgotten but who cares it’s all nonsense 🤣

Surely now would be a good time, he paid tens of millions for us and we are now valued at hundreds of millions. Thats not a bad return on investment!

I get that, but I don’t think he’s ever been in it for making a quick buck. The time to do that wouldve surely been the start of last season.

He’ll want to be on this European tour, he’ll be at every away Europa league game.

Rehashing the same story from before.

The orginal story will be true and they'll be open to selling. Their statement abiut it didn't rule it out.
This. Huge turnover in profit from when he bought it right now. How much more work, time and money would you have to put in to get significantly more value from now? A lot, doable, but several years more years work and a lot of effort. If someone came along and offered a good price to sell now, he'd have to lay it off against how much he enjoys the kudos and satisfaction of doing such a stellar job and being significantly involved in football and now European football.

Hard to see us losing value from current position in the near future and I can't imagine, given his frequent involvement and direction of the club that he's in a rush to offload, but who knows what he wants to do in life?

And it would be significantly harder to add another 200 million to the club value from this point. It would be an excellent time to sell from a business point of view.

Looks very much like a click-bait non-story but it's obvious that if KLD did buy the club to flip it, he will - at any time - be weighing up what he could get now against what he might be able to sell it for down the line.

While the leap in value from when he bought it to now would mean he would be no doubt very happy with the current sale price, I’d wager he’ll be coming down on the “we want more” side of things. If you look at some of the younger squad players alone…

Roefs
Sadiki
Talbi
Le Fée
Diarra
Rigg
Hume
Brobbey

…their market value will have doubled or trebled (or more?) since they came onto the books. Imagine what it might do after another successful season in the top flight, aligned to any performance gains that we all hope and believe might come in 26-27 now they have experience of the Premier League.

And that list also shows how good our recruitment system is. It’s unlikely that he thinks we just ‘got lucky’ with our transfers last summer, and will have confidence in repeating (at least in part) some of that success in the weeks to come. Then there’s the shake-up of the commercial approach, with signs that we are clearly thinking bigger there.

And after everything that has happened in the past 12 months, who’s to say we won’t win the Europa League next season and then be looking at the riches of the Champions League the season after?

Of course, it could all go to crap in the season ahead with players underperforming, poor recruitment, injuries to key players, the Europa League draining us so that we get relegated and he misses his big payday.

But do we really think he will be erring on the side of caution? There is a level of confidence flowing through the club at the moment that has everyone looking to the next level. Gut feel is that the strategy and range of off-field systems and approaches KLD has built over the past few years will be leading him to think that there is plenty more value to add in the near future.

Fingers crossed!

I bet some would rather go back to League 1 rather than have to suffer these stressful situations.
