He's done fuck all, bought championship players on long contracts.

The test comes next season
This. bang average pl players like Ritchie, Gayle, Hanley, Clarke, Colback, Shelvey, mitrovic and Lascelles will struggle big time next season. they will have a job on their hands shifting that lot

A few additions and we could nick 4th bottom, if he gets us promoted. it will be hard but we are fully behind him.

Without a doubt,in the first part of his tenure he failed and failed miserably.
Fhs man, Dick kept us up when we were in a worse situation and he wasn't a "world class" manager.
Benitez's wins last season were against teams on the beach - Palace and Swansea, plus a game v a team totally deflated at blowing the title -Spurs.
They couldn't beat us at hotch potch, and lost at relegated Norwich and drew at hapless Villa. Hardly inspirational in my book.
Because of his past reputation, he was able to tell Ashley it's my way or I'm off. The likes of Pearson, Sherwood and Dr Boer would never have been cut anywhere near as much slack.
Tbf to him, he has overhauled the squad, got great money for half decent players and got two players of equal quality vyeing for each position - and they've made a profit !
Whether many of those players are PL standard remains to be seen, I just hope we are still in the PL to take 6 points off them.

There's no way to tell. They were basically doomed when he took over in the premier league and really if south shields were randomly given entry to the championship and the amount the mags have spent on their team you'd expect them to win it.

Hes obviously a good manager though, the only real worry for them is he left chelsea because napoli came calling, he left napoli because real came calling so he's not exactly known for the loyalty they believe he is showing. Also he's fallen out with chairmen on occasion and fat mike doesnt tend to react well to managers saying anything about him publicly. (while there is however a decent possibility of a Pixar film about them being brothers separated at birth with one being brought up on fine wine and food in his parents italian restaurant and the other on Irn Bru and greggs at his uncles sporting goods store)

He's done a pretty good job but then he's had free reign to buy virtually any Championship standard player. Most decent managers would be doing similar.
It's staggering how so many mags don't accept this they're so deluded in thinking he's doing a job only a great manager could do

He's already shown his great talent for signing absolute shite. With the squad they had they could have made a few signings to replace outgoing players and would/should've walked the league. For whatever reason he decided to sign hods more players than he needed to. Most of whom are shite. Sels, Hanley, Lazaar, Yedlin, Diame and Murphy were all signings for the sake of signings and cost close to around £30 million.

Profit? Losing premier league money but still spunking a shit ton of money on proven failures in the premier league who they will struggle to shift next year.

£8m for Daryl Murphy man

until he fucks you over, loses matches then he'll get the usual mag treatment. Did it to sirburb so a fat Spanish waiter isn't going to be spared

Bit like the treatment Moyes was getting on here all but 3 weeks ago, id list the threads but i havent got all day.

No change from me, Moyes is still on thin ice, strange defeatist attitude and I'm not letting a couple of wins paper over the cracks but we'll done for attempting to change the direction of the thread you fat twat.

Do you agree the whole of RTG was in full hounding out mode 3 weeks ago?

RTG doesn't reflect the feeling amongst fans though. Plenty pissed off, understandably after another horrendous start. Moyes has received plenty of support in the stands though, Newcastle have already been booed off on occasions during the Rafalution...

Not sure I completely agree with the point of view that he took them down so he must be shit

He averaged 1.3 points per game for the 10 games he was in charge of them in the premiership, to put that into perspective, that works out 49 points over a full season of 38 games, or 11th place. I know it doesn't work like that, but it was an obvious improvement from McClaren, of course he ultimately failed to keep them up, but does anyone really think that was Rafa's fault? They were shite long before Rafa took over

He's a quality manager who has won titles all over the world and I'd have him here in a heartbeat
Two mags liking your comment ... He hasn't been a "good" manager for many years. He failed to keep them up, and has been bankrolled to succeed in a pub league. What's the fuss; lots of managers have been promoted spending much less. He hasn't got them up yet.

Fuck off was it and this is just a board not a complete representation of all fans. Can't remember any spitting at Moyes , stained bed sheets and mock funerals. Fuck of back to your false love in with your charlatan manager
