That told me that even of they finished bottom of the prem next season Rafa would be a "legend" there.

My point was he took them down so failed last year and that he's been gifted every chance to Coast it this year so his real test comes next year and onwards. He disagreed saying he's done wonders to get them into a profit this year and that (I shit you not) " you wouldn't understand" how the relationship is between Rafa and the fans and that he understands what it means to be gaffer there.

So it begs the question, how do you judge his tenure from when he took over?

Hope you made him pay for the beer!

Brilliant when in the relegation battle, they desperately need a win come up against Villa; one of the worst teams in premier league history who couldn't string 2 passes together and Benitez plays 2 defensive midfielders

Pretty sure Villa lost about 57 on the bounce as well

Their goal up here was the best the SoL saw all last season, mind.

You can't really judge his tenure this season imo. He has the most expensive championship squad assembled in its history. It's a poor league.

If they're promoted and they then finish in the top 10 at the first time of asking then people will begin to believe them.

If he wins the league and then gets them relegated, it would be a disaster given the resources they appear to have.

That's my point mate, doesn't matter what he does this year, it's expected, he took them down last year so is still on a minus and needs to prove himself in the Pl but they just won't have it, they think he's the f***ing Messiah volume 2.0 whatever. Baffling.

How does he know he's got them into profit?

They've lost circa £35M in TV revenue alone compared to the season previous. Coperate and sponsorship revenue will also be down.

Compared to every team in the premier league they'll make at least £65M less in TV money this season.

All thanks to the fat twat getting them relegated but he's a genius :)
