Amazing that such a wide range of the American public took part in it, not just Trump supporters, even those non-Trump supporters who wore Trump merchandise.

It never ceases to amaze me how far these Trump supporters would follow him, believing in the "stolen vote" even to the extent of trashing the Capitol. Calling themselves "patriots" while doing it ffs.

Finally watched it earlier and the Trump supporters who genuinely believe that the election was stolen really are amongst the stupidest people currently on this planet. Suspect that the car saleman, who seems intelligent enough to know better, and a lot of the other Trump supporters don't really care about the result and actively want their country to descent into a fascist dictatorship.

Seriously harrowing viewing.

I watched the whole thing live as I was working from home and couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Every hour I was thinking right surely that's the worst of it over...
Disgraceful how it wasn't defended stronger earlier.
