it's up to you which is more important, swann as captain or stokes & borthwick getting another crack at playing for england i know which is more important to me 8-)

not a fan of bowling captians in general but i imagine swann will make a pretty decent one, just a gut feeling

I meant more that he (like Broad I suppose) is in the untried, bit of a maverick, non-establishment camp. Bit of a gamble - a healthy choice in that respect - shows the selectors are willing to show some balls now and again.
 
despite norm not reading my thread :lol: about this

personally i think swann will be a good captain, as from what i have seen, he has a lot of input in tactics during the 50 over games.

he is an experienced player as well and imo, more qualified than broad anyway
