Can you explain why and what exactly was “woke”?
Some people (let's call them men) get offended by any mention of women's football despite it's increasing popularity and success.

Why not have a separate programme if there is demand for it?Some people (let's call them men) get offended by any mention of women's football despite its increasing popularity and success.
Haha I’m the same, it was of certain era when you only got your info from papers and teletext, so seeing items on other teams were interesting, doesn’t really work nowadaysStopped watching when Bob Wilson left.
Not really. Got other things to do early evening, possibly the live game, pub, restaurant or even just cooking dinner and watching some shite with the family. Sure I’m not the only that finds late highlights a good fit ….mind still too much questionable ‘analysis’ provided by the likes of shearer et alI really don’t know why folk watch motd when you get goals and highlights thirty mins after the match has finished. Daft really.
Why not have a separate programme if there is demand for it?
Would you agree that some presenters are there to tick boxes?
That is slightly different as in tennis both events are played at same venue and athletics the same, the women’s football highlights follow motd so it is a different programmeYou wouldn't have separate programmes for women's tennis or athletics.
What boxes are you thinking of?

Old Stella is definitely using the term negativity, he/she trys to drop in the term in his post as often as possible."Woke" is being aware of, and acting upon perceived OR actual racial, social, or cultural injustices or inconsistencies, including those of the past. Can be used as a positive or a negative term. One can be overly woke by taking diversity and inclusion too far, which is entirely possible.
Never watched it for years. Liked it as a kid but it's time has long gone. You must be logged on to see media items
Rarely watch it even if we've won.Surprised it's lasted this long with the rise of social media and the overall saturation of football coverage these days. Wouldn't be surprised if Match of the Day is a goner by the end of the decade as well.
Nothing lasts forever. Most things have their time then gone. Must be 25-30 years since I watched it. They should have given Jeff Stelling a try.Loved it growing up and till around five or so years ago. Just wasn’t the same for a while. Shame seeing all the good shows you watched for decades disappear.
Absolutely never watch it anywayYou must be logged on to see media items
Yep, I like Soccer Saturday. Especially if we are not playing, and if the mags are likely to get stuffed off a BIG CLUB.Soccer Saturday is good imo, especially the ones where they show all the goals as they go in.
Getting repetitive tho. When we win, and the mags lose, watching MOTD is class man.
