Striker
What a compliment it is to have clubs like Bayern Munich looking at our players.

That 5M effectively paid for Brobbey as far as financial fair play is concerned.I won't be stressed as I'll take no notice of it.
We won't let too many go at once and we won't have the piss taken out of us.
We'd been talking to him already for a month apparently. I still think we looked at Guiu and knew he wasn't ready. We were already being linked to more strikers - it just opened up towards the deadline as it often does.
Sorry, your right. His debut was in June, signed for them in August, didn't score for Germany until October. This isn’t true
Imagine Musiala, Gnabry and Olise popping balls into Brobbey and him touching it back off to them or said players going past him for the return. Absolutely ideal.I don’t see at all how he fits into the Bayern style of play
Do you think perhaps he was taking the piss?Aww aye they’re going to give us lennart Karl with an option to buyfor Brobbey aren’t they
Also urbig is massively rated and will probably replace neuer.
Brobbey is quite unique which is the issue of replacing him outright. Maybe if he was to leave, we would have to switch up the system and play with a striker willing to get in behind more. Obviously its all guess work but we cant really replace Brobbey like for like
They are all on good contracts, so we are in a good position to get big fees and any of them do want to move on.This is going to be one stressful summer. Fortunately, KLD and co. seem to know what they’re doing so I have every faith they’ll have a plan for this sort thing.
This in the article was great to read: "He was purchased as part of Sunderland’s analytics-based recruitment model, which is now seen as one of the most advanced in the Premier League"1 given our rate of "hits" in new signings - for the first time in my SAFC supporting life I have faith in the recruitment team
"If we do big sales he'll be doing the same but if needed in the £35-40m price bracket"Why ? Last time round he was shopping around the £20m aisle . If we do big sales he'll be doing the same but if needed in the £35-40m price bracket .Thats the very top echelon of young talent , talent thats just that little bit more known & tested
Add in a mix of the continental kids again and im sure he can stock us up well, just a case of going up the financial gears .
If he does nearly as well but in a bit more elite pool that'll do.

Have to say I went back and opened it again, they mention it on the byline and in the body you quoted.
That spending spree still looks like "witchcraft / daylight robbery" in terms of where it came from and how successful it has been - what a season man.
And as an aside who are the "number crunching nerds" behind the scenes who provided us with the data and most importantly managed to use "ambition / determination / character" as metrics?
They're modern day heroes.
Im not advocating that we do, just that if we get pushed into it we've got the set up and would have the funds to make it recoverable and financially sound."If we do big sales he'll be doing the same but if needed in the £35-40m price bracket"
"If he does nearly as well but in a bit more elite pool that'll do"
As highlighted, the key word in your suggestion is 'IF'. And it is a big 'IF'. How many Roefs and Sadikis and Diarras and Brobbeys and Mukieles and Alderetes and Xhakas and Le Fees and Reinildos do you think are out there waiting to be found ? I would respectfully suggest that there is not an inexhaustible supply. And even if they are out there and are prepared to come to Sunderland, there is certainly no guarantee that they could be quickly molded into a cohesive team, as happened in the Summer.
We already have the majority of a good team, why break it up on the chance that we might get another good team ?
They all came when we were apparently shite and nailed on to go down, I think we're a pretty attractive proposition now tbh, outside of the top six."If we do big sales he'll be doing the same but if needed in the £35-40m price bracket"
