Bayern want Brobbey

Every single player has a price and fortunately our excellent owners have tied our best players onto long contracts so if/when the big boys come knocking they will have to do so armed to the back teeth with some serious money. Unlike those smelly mags we understand how this works and the players also know this so if say a Bayern Munich did come in for Brobbey let’s not kid ourselves he will be away. Unlike Isak we would get a very good fee early enough to bring in replacements. That goes for all players. I’m cool with it as I know where we are batting at as a club.

Gonna be clubs looking at Roefs, Brobbeys Xhaka, Sadiki, Ballard, Mukiele, Aldrete, Reinaldo, Le Fee and maybes more. It's what happens when you have success.

Big teams will be looking at out players, we just need to have good plans for keeping them or if we are letting them move on, what we do to replace them and improve.

Swap Brobbey for Urbig and loan Lennart Karl with an option to buy, Sell Roefs for £50m and use it to buy Undav and Schick and that sorts out RW, and 2 strikers. Easy this malarkey, give me a recruitment job

I'm always intrigued by the idea that we must always accept that we are a small club and that a 'big club' can come, simply 'flash the cash' and we must then invariably sell our players to them.

Similarly, I am also puzzled by how excited some people seem to get at the prospect of the club selling good players for large amounts of money, as if having a bank balance with lots of noughts at the end will be something we can cheer and ogle at on a Saturday afternoon. For example, the prospect of selling Roefs for £60m, which would represent a profit of about £49m seems to excite people inordinately. Except no consideration seems to be given to the fact that the only way we could have a more effective last line of defence is if we were allowed to take the £60m in cash and stack it between the posts. Or if Brobbey could be replaced by Mbappe, because Kylian had mentioned to his mate Nordi that he's heard good things about Dickson's saveloy dips and would like to try them.

I think the excitement is based on the idea that with 'loads of money', our Director of Football will be able to replicate his success in the Summer 2025 transfer window time after time. Having been fortunate enough to have put together the best squad of players that I have seen (and I've been supporting the club since 1962), I think that the likelihood of Ghisolfi being able to regularly replace what we have got with the equivalent, or better, standard of players is unlikely.

If we are to believe Louis-Dreyfus' claim to be ambitious, in terms of the club's success, then at some point we have to start acting like a 'big club' ourselves and retain the services of our better players and then add to them, so that we keep the star performers and replace the journeymen with players who could genuinely step in to the team in the event of an injury, suspension or loss of form and there not be an obvious diminution in quality.
The reality is that all clubs bar a small handful are selling clubs. That’s driven at least in part by player power.

If Brobbey or Roefs get an offer from Bayern or Real or someone, they’re wanting to go.

That’s just reality. As we saw with Suarez and Countinho to Barcelona, Ronaldo to Real Madrid etc

Real madrid disagree with what?

They don't think he is good enough which is why hes going to be sold. No shame in that. But they will be trying to get as much as they can from whoever buys him obviously.

I don't believe we were ever interested in him. The source was fichajes which is clickbait rubbish that claimed we offered 70m for Fermin Lopez. Just blatant horseshit.

If they didn't think he was good enough for them or at least have the potential to be good enough for them in the short term or long term, 1) he wouldn't have been playing for them and 2) they'd not bother putting a buy back clause into any deal.

He's played 30 times for Real Madrid this season in La Liga and the Champions League but you've made your mind up that he's not good enough for us?

I've never said he isn't good enough for us. I've said he isn't worth 30m quid and that the source that links us with him is terrible.

I do believe he is overrated on here by people who haven't really seen him much

From a decent source on German football and both players fsr cheaper than Brobbey.

There was more than one source who linked us with him. If I remember rightly that Pintus bloke who was fitness coach there, think he's head of medical science now, and was here under Poyet (I think) or Allardyce, was trying to push them into dealing with us saying send him to Sunderland, he'll learn massively.

This is going to be one stressful summer. Fortunately, KLD and co. seem to know what they’re doing so I have every faith they’ll have a plan for this sort thing.

I won't be stressed as I'll take no notice of it.

We won't let too many go at once and we won't have the piss taken out of us.
If Chelsea didn’t recall Guiu and pay us 5M for the honour.

Mental to think we replaced him with this complete and utter beast of a striker.

We'd been talking to him already for a month apparently. I still think we looked at Guiu and knew he wasn't ready. We were already being linked to more strikers - it just opened up towards the deadline as it often does.

Why ? Last time round he was shopping around the £20m aisle . If we do big sales he'll be doing the same but if needed in the £35-40m price bracket .Thats the very top echelon of young talent , talent thats just that little bit more known & tested
Add in a mix of the continental kids again and im sure he can stock us up well, just a case of going up the financial gears .
If he does nearly as well but in a bit more elite pool that'll do.
