Bayern want Brobbey

I'm sure his head could get turned it mega money is offered but I'd hope we get at least another season with him. He obviously had his issues in the Netherlands, so to me here was somewhere he could come that's a lot quieter and it's only an hour flight back anyway.

Think 3 or 4 will be gone and we'll recoup upwards of £200m....
The other side of that is who are we selling too?

Top 5 PL clubs? They have the BIG money but also have a tendency to expect finished items. (Or the shotgun scatter like Chelsea.)

Our rivals? Can we class the middle of the PL table as our rivals yet or is that too presumptuous? Do we want to possibly strengthen them while maybe weakening ourselves?

European clubs. Would be significantly smaller offers in most leagues imho compared to PL clubs. Maybe involving players and cash...which I don't know how that impacts for PSR-type stuff.

Ideally we retain most of our best players for at least two seasons to cement ourselves in the PL and build a team around but understanding that we lose 2 maybe 3 for big money to get in replacements to develop, one each season with a few of the fringe players making up the transfer budget.

This next 3 seasons will be critical. IF we can stay in the PL, possibly qualify for one of the lesser European competitions and have decent cup success, would our finances then allow a push into the rarified heights of CL positions?

Let's hope we show further ambition and convince these lads to stay with us by bringing in further quality to play alongside them. At least we know we'll be making huge profits for a lot of those brought in during the summer if they do leave.

If he got a big move and we got big money it might not be a bad thing - it'd make us an even more attractive destination for the best young talent around Europe who have yet to achieve their potential.

Especially now that Dembele is basically confirmed.

According to The Athletic yesterday, Real Madrid have decided that Endrick is going back there for next season and are prepared to let Garcia go with a buy back clause. I'd be surprised if our recruitment team aren't all over that already. Whether that would influence any decision on letting Brobbey go, who knows? I think Isidor will be away regardless and Maynda possibly on loan. Can we afford to have 3 new centre forwards in the squad at the same time?

Unless BB decides to kick up a fuss for a move, which I don't think he seems the type to, then we should say £80M, put the money on the table or don't bother I think BB and GG will be our two main attacking options next season.
I don't understand the fuss around Garcia tbh or why we would want to bother developing him only to have them buy him back for a cheap fee to sell elsewhere.

Yeah I don’t disagree and tbf to you I hadn’t appreciated that angle on it from Bayern. I just thought it was hilarious they’ve been telling us they beat Bayern to Germany’s number nine, only to put him on the bench as a midfielder.
I had a frank and open discussion with a mag on socials about him after they 'stole' him from under Buy'ems nose. He'd clearly never heard of him before the scarf picture and kept saying he's Germany's first choice striker. 🤣🤣

He only got called up for the full national team, AFTER signing for them, because of injuries to the main players.

I mean, he's obviously good enough to play for Real Madrid, he's played 30 games for this season including in the Champions League.

It's highly unlikely but not beyond the realms of possibility, imagine that we qualified for the Conference League or even the Europe League. Bought Garcia in for €30M, he scores 8-10 goals in the PL as Brobbey's back up but scores 6 or 7 as first choice in the European competition and we go deep in to that as PL clubs are expected to and RM then decide to buy him back for €40M.

Would that be seen as bad business? Absolutely not.

Hes not worth anywhere near 30m. I've watched most of his games this season. Hes overrated on here

Well Real Madrid disagree.
Real madrid disagree with what?

They don't think he is good enough which is why hes going to be sold. No shame in that. But they will be trying to get as much as they can from whoever buys him obviously.

I don't believe we were ever interested in him. The source was fichajes which is clickbait rubbish that claimed we offered 70m for Fermin Lopez. Just blatant horseshit.
