Good spot. At second and third team level I'm not sure whether it's worth paying for anything more than the shitest set of pads.

Sorry if there's a link to these pads but nothing's showing on my phone, from Ed's description they aren't standard pads though. I've always bought bargain basement pads and felt nothing, maybe I've just been lucky,

The way I look at is buy the best you can afford - buying shite will not offer good enough protection. I'd much rather skimp on a bat than protection!![/QUOTE]

Paid £20 for my pads, they'll do for me. Don't see the point in remortgaging for summit which just stops a cricket ball hitting yer shins.
