Precedent was set when England players were given leave to miss a Test match to play in the IPL last year.

I wonder if we'll recognise the game in 20 years or will it just be batters with a technique that wouldn't last 2 minutes in test cricket, smacking the ball 150 metres for the Melbourne/Mumbai/Manchester Shitehawks in series of meaningless franchise jamborees.

So sad.

Test and 50 over 1 day games for me ... 20/20 was ok but it's gone to far now... The hundred is ... Awful kits.. Shit music at the interval.. (Would we be allowed to have a cricket match half way at Glastonbury ) interviewing nobody's and missing a wicket and the silly f***ing names they call themselves..

Doesn’t sound like it was just England’s decision to postpone this mind, however I doubt any England players involved in the ipl will play in the ashes
