Away Fans at SOL Update

The second it was announced the PC was opening next season, you could tell the aways were being moved.

Only a few weeks back I was told the family bit wouldn’t be touched, but it looks like the aways will be in the SEC and South Stand next season.
Splitting up the south stand will be a mistake in my opinion. People can talk about replicating the displays and singing in the North Stand but it simply won't happen. People will refuse to move and not want to participate.

What needs to happen, imo, is the club start again from scratch regarding fan layout.

It’s became too blurred over the years and they should start again.

At the meeting on Wednesday night they reckon the vast majority of objects being thrown now is coins, with the odd vape hoyed in for good measure. The netting doesn't stop coins because the gaps are too big. Plus netting needs EFL approval and would apparently be on a 12 - 16 week lead time for delivery and install. Yet "do nothing" isn't an option.

I think it's obvious that away fans will be moved for next season. Doing it during the season would be a proper shitshow. And someone is going to be pissed off because they're going to have to move. Consultation needed.

I'm not sure there's any good options right now. And I don't fancy trying to enforce these new rules, but that's up to the club and security.

Impossible to solve the issue mid-season without pissing at least a fair chunk of people off.

It’s already going to be a monster operation for the club, so I doubt they will want to over complicate things.

At some point, and before March when the renewals come out, they will not only need to move 1,000s of SC holders who presently sit in the new away section; but also offer the opportunity to move for those sitting in the blocks near the away section in the East Stand.

I don’t envy the task they have

It’s over 12 weeks since the Coventry fans threw glass bottles etc down and the club didn’t do fuck all. If they did something then the Burnley incident with the kid wouldn’t have happened
