Australia v England, 3rd Test, 16th December , 23.30

All we had to do was get another 50 or so partnership with the ball doing absolutely nothing just get a bit hope up.

Then Brook decides to be a complete tool yet again

God the replays of that shot just look worse and worse. Head falling over, off balance, not covering the stumps, heaving away. Premeditated garbage.

Diabolical. And the look of puzzlement after just makes it worse.

Only a matter of time to be honest. hard to keep playing that high risk shot against a bowler like Lyon. he was nowhere near that one

Root and Crawley have played it beautifully because they’re not trying to hit the ball back to Perth. Control, timing and technique required to play it. Brook just arrogantly trying to bludgeon one of the best off spinners there’s ever been.
I think he thinks he’s been stumped

Aye. Which says it all about his awareness of where he was playing that shot. His head was that far across it was almost up deep points arse

Tbf to Joseph baring I think one innings, he hasn't played as poorly as his figures has suggested as he has just faced high quality bowling.

Cummins, starc and Boland are nightmare bowlers for him, imagine if Hazlewood was fit too.

Not sure how critical I want to be of Brook there as England hit Lyon out of the attack earlier by using the sweeps and got them to bowl Head.

They didn’t use the same sweeps at all. They’ve played controlled reverse sweeps to the correct length deliveries. Brook has tried to effectively switch hit it to kingdom come. Off balance, heaving, rubbish. He diced with death all innings.
