Australia v England, 2nd Test, 4th December 0400

It’s also poor captaincy. Huge gaps in the cordon with no protection behind. They were allowed to accumulate quickly without even having to play genuine strokes.
That's one of the major issues for me with this innings. Australia haven't really been made to work hard.

We started off with a new ball and bowled most of the first four overs nowhere near the stumps.

It continued in that vein, with poor field placements and scattergun bowling.

Loose bowling and daft field placing have made it easy for them. And they’re a really vulnerable unit.

That’s not even factoring in drops

Bashir 0-77 from 17 overs in the A game, TMS saying he has to play in Adelaide....

4 sessions to bat, Big ask that 100 overs

It’s a big ask of this team because they tend to not be willing to do it

Edit:

I mean that just about sums it up. That should be a catch if sharp and switched on

Some of our lads look tired
It’s almost like Putting overs into oppositions bowlers legs is a good idea
You can visibly see the frustration with the England bowlers

Player for player there is no real difference between the sides it’s the approach and common sense what is the difference

Australia as we speak are just playing time, putting overs in the legs knowing they’ll be bowling with us under the lights
England unfortunately are just in this Mode of let’s just play it as a one day match regardless and see what happens

Spot on. Australia content here as they're just playing for time today.

And other than Stokes, England’s bowlers have decided to allow them to do so. Short pitch bowling that they aren’t interested in playing. Taking time out of the innings, mileage into the legs of the bowlers and slow accumulation of runs.

Too many times watching England play you’re left wondering what are they doing

Yeah I've questioned that a lot so far this series. We look absolutely shot. Australia will be absolutely loving this. It's not great viewing. Don't agree with Cook saying "both teams won't be dis-spirited".

Has he said that? Is he looking at the body language of our players?

And again, back of a length outside off and more runs through the gap down to the third man boundary. They must have 300 runs through there ffs

‘Won’t be dis- spirited’ he can’t be serious they look visibly shot to bits
Stokes has just looked at archer like he wants to kill him

Yeah he just said it based on the lead not getting too big as the reason England won't be dis-spirited yet Finn has just said the lead is "now worrying".

See above. Finn spot on, not sure what Cook is smoking
