Austin, TX

Will be spending a few days there in March while SXSW is on.

Any recommendations?
Don't know how old you are, but Austin is a college town, lots of young people, so most bars are lively!
For the more mature crowd, try the Elephant Room, the Skylark lounge, or Parker jazz club.
Try the odd duck on s lamar for great burgers, for more upscale, go to Jeffreys on w lynn. (reservation req)

Perfect. All I’ve heard so far is that I have to go to Torchy’s.
That's where Top Gear got chased out wasn't it? I'd rather go to Corfu.

Not sure you’re invited on this trip mate but best of luck with corfu.

Good venues and bars on Red River and 6th, but mental busy since they moved SXSW to the same week as spring break.
Green Mesquite has some of the best BBQ in Texas.
Waterloo Records is a great place to pick up obscure music with loads of in store gigs as well.
Watch the bats at Congress Bridge.
Rainey Street for all the hipster hangouts.
