Attendance Thread - Watford

And how do you then stop those fans mingling with the Watford fans on the concourse below?
If you read what he said, They enter through a home turnstile, then home concourse area, then home vomitory (in P20) then walk along to P24. They would need to have stewards blocking the vomitory in P24.
This would also allow them to open P24 (307) and P23 (74) to home fans. There would be some additional stewarding cost, but an extra 381 seats would yield around £7,500 in extra revenue. Not rocket science.

They did something similar against Reading in 1997-98 in the South Stand. Reading had one Block but all the adjacent blocks were sold to home fans.

There'll be a limit to how many people can access each concourse area, so it's not as simple as that.

Can't wait for this whole discussion to happen again if we need to open up for a home leg of a playoff semi.

Any chance at all they will be able to open another block or two next to away fans? Not read the last few pages so sorry it already mentioned.

Aye mate. We'd have been better off with a 42,000 capacity and the ground looking full most weeks (as it stands). Given SAFC's past 60 year history of not achieving much at all, can you imagine a 60,000 ground with 35,000 in, which past history suggests will be the case, it'll look like one of those vase finals at Wembley with a few people dotted around here and there. Not only will it look awful, we won't be able to pay for it. We may have a good few years but history suggests it won't last long, unless we get a Man City type owner where money is no object to build a successful team that can sustain itself season after season.

As somebody else suggested, any spare cash floating around should be going in to buying quality players to move us on.
Absolutely agree with you with...that would have created a clamour for for tickets for matches.

I'm sure I sat in the north stand upper one year near end of season vs Cardiff we won 4-1 (I think) and they closed off the concourse underneath from the small Cardiff section . So I think I can be done to add more blocks.

Much better atmosphere when they were downstairs
Myth.

Could definitely be done before. Don’t know if things have changed recently as they spread the away fans out more to account for the numpties chucking stuff.
