Attendance Thread - Ipswich Town

Assume we're going to have to give them the NW upper - or at least part of it. Or figure out a measure for reopening the front of the upper section.

What is segregation like underneath between the NS upper and NWU/Premier Concourse?
You cant get to the Premier Concourse facilities from the North West Upper - its a blockwork wall, the NWU and NSU are segregated already and have bars/catering/WCs on the 1st floor and 2nd Floors. When we eventually get back to the Premier League we have to house a proportion of the away allocation in the lower bowl anyway so they need to get it sorted and make a decision this season.

Mags still have all the away Fans in Level 7 still
(I think that is the case, haven't been to Sid James since March 2016)

Yes they have been granted special dispensation as the rules were changed whilst they were already in the Premier League and because they have corporate and boxes below in lower bowl they won the argument regards logistics of moving away fans so the Premier League have let them off. As we would be newly promoted we wont have the option. Steve Davison mentioned it in one of the supporters meetings not long after he became Chief Operating Officer.

The Premier League can't override the police/safety groups. The only place the police will allow the away fans to be moved is the South Stand, and the Council won't allow them moved back there due to the Sheepfold developments, which is why they couldn't be moved anyway.

From SD
Moving the away fans into the upper tier of the north stand in the first place was against Premier League rules at the time, although Sunderland made a successful appeal for special approval to make it happen.

Interestingly, that would no longer apply if – or when – the club returned to the top flight, so changing the location of visiting supporters would be a long-term necessity regardless.

“There had been dispensation for the away end to be in the upper tier when we were last in the Premier League,” Davison explained. “We wouldn’t get this if we returned to the Premier League, as there are now increased safety concerns.

“With that in mind, the conclusion we have come to is that we need to move the away fans to the lower bowl. In the long term this needs doing, so it makes most sense to make this change first.

“We may be able to have the away end across the lower and upper tier, but this also would come with challenges. These are the topics we need to consider and engage on.”
Hows the front rows behind the goal looking?
Does the photo not open?

Does anyone know if any more tickets will go on sale in the south stand? U37 ideally? My brother wants to be as close to us as possible but entire south stand showing as sold out / none available
