Attendance Thread - Fulham

As a result of this thread I’ve done a bit of digging and come up with an amazing stat.
Don’t know if it’s correct but apparently Liverpool only have around 6,000 season ticket holders with Liverpool post codes, Everton have 27,000!
They also limit their season tickets massively. This is because they can make much much more from tourists who buy a ticket. West Ham and fulham going the same way.

People asking for pay on the gate , you can queue up on the night and go to the ticket office .

Also has the lack of pay on the gate effected our gates in the league .

I don’t think any cash turnstiles would bring in enough to make it worth while

1 it isn’t the same

2 how would you or anyone know, there isn’t one.

3. It’s about community. The football club should represent the whole community. Having one gate open would cost a minimum amount, the ‘cost’ is irrelevant. They would also then be able to statistically say why they would choose to close it if it wasn’t being used and they could also use it as a means of getting those who use the turnstile to use alternative means for following matches.

So how many tomorrow night then?

looks like 28k-30k which is a bit disappointing

just looking at our 2014 cup run,

3rd round 3-1 home win against carslise - 21,973
4th round 1-0 home win against kidderminster - 25,081
5th round 1-0 home win against southampton - 16,777

what was that all about?

We were in constant relegation battles, many SCH were renewing out of habit & weren’t arsed about going to support a team of over paid, under-performing pissheads & arseholes who didn’t care 1 jot about the shirt they were wearing.

We’re going to get nearly double that tomorrow.

.. Should have signed a striker and the crowd would have been bigger ..

exactly. i've made this point millions of times but you just get met with 'its a business at the end of the day' blah blah blah

buying a ticket for our home games is not very easy, especially for older people. the website, especially when doing it on your phone, is atrocious.

and maybe they don't want to queue for ages at the ticket office to buy a ticket, then go and queue at the turnstile. just have one or two 'pay on the gate' turnstiles and people can have a few pints before the game, walk to the ground at 2.30, pay at the turnstile and watch the match, its f***ing rocket science is it. even if it cost the club £100 per game, that is their responsibility to bear as custodians of the club

oh aye i know all that, its just the contrast between the rounds. you'd think it would have went up. unless everyone was sure we were going to lose?

we had just beaten the mags 3-0 away and had wembley coming up. 16000 in the FA cup 5th round just seems bizarre

Season card holders are a massive issue. Think 16k took up their seat in the first 24hrs of Fulham being on sale. That leaves another 16k who just didn't bother their arses. Granted some changed seats for this, but will be nowhere near 16k. Some have valid excuses, but again nowhere near 16k.

Being on council tele isn't an excuse. It's canny bad because the ones who haven't bothered for this will certainly be using their season card to get to Wembley if we ever got there in the competition.

Mentality for cup games is a bit fucked up.

Aye let's not support the team because we didn't sign a striker.

I agree, it may also encourage a few who are out with their mates pre-game but without a ticket or season card to go along with their mates. Even if it got 100 extra people in a game, that 100 might keep coming back and I appreciate the money wont change anything but isnt it better in the clubs pocket than the dog and ducks?

Take a total at 12pm tomorrow and then 1pm, and let the data do it's magic

It helps us data wizards
There is no such time as 12:00pm
Their reasoning was thus: pm stands for Latin post meridiem, usually translated in English as "after midday". As midday is meridiem — that is, midday, the mid-point around which the other times are ordered — it cannot be said to be post itself. Therefore, 12:00pm is not a real time.
Nor is 12am.
Noon , midnight, 0000, 1200 all acceptable.
😉

20,731 in the LC quarter final against Chelsea as well, 31,547 against Man U in the Semis, about what we'll get tomorrow to put things into perspective

I think with already reaching the league cup final people were not to arsed. Neither was the club or the manager I think. Poyet himself.

"Apparently to be more famous, it's better to win the cup. I don't want any more people knowing me, I think they know me enough, so I would prefer to stay in the Premier League.

"It's a personal feeling. I can't answer for anybody else, it's me. I would be devastated if we go down, so it's me."

We’d also played 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th round and the semi all at home before that Southampton match. There’s 5 cup games at home just in the league cup.

We’d also played Southampton already in the league cup in the 4th round.
