Aston Villa Splashing the Cash

It was men against boys. Personally I thought we set up wrong. We’d have lost whatever way we played because City turned up. What’s annoying is that we never laid a finger on them. Also dropping Guilbert???? What the hell was that about .

He played ok yesterday all things considered. He got frustrated but who wouldn’t. You could tell by watching him yesterday that’s he’s a class act.

The Anti Villa stuff on here is really Anti Cridge...

I’d personally love your lot to send the mags down again on the last day

I don’t mind Bruce. I think he had a bit of an hard time at Villa and had a lot going on in his personal life. The football was shite mind. I don’t like Newcastle at all. Over hyped club and one of their ***** spat a bit greeny on me once which put the icing on the cake.

Three of their next four league games are Brighton, Watford and Bournemouth. While the heavy defeat yesterday has dented their goal difference, these are the sort of games they need to be winning.

We said that over Xmas . We had Southampton, Norwich and Watford. All three were in the bottom three and we got hammered in two of them and got lucky against Norwich.

Brighton away will be tough, and Watford are one of the form teams. Bournemouth are on a terrible run so fancy us there, maybe.

It's very tight at the bottom, Norwich are out of their depth by the looks of it, so it's probably down to two places. Brucey is also due his winless run, so their are still a few in contention.

Clearly someone with an agenda. Grealish was their best player yesterday. Only so much one player can do I’m afraid.
What you on about an agenda? He is a diving little cheat but a class above anything Villa have. Cut that out of his game and he will be one of the best players in the PL.

Being Villa's best player yesterday wasn't difficult

ps his hair is a disgrace though

As is Maguire but I bet that doesn’t bother you.

It wasnt difficult being villa best player yesterday but someone had to be and it just happened to be Grealish.

We’ve all been young with Ropey hairstyles. No issue with it.

Come on lets be positive. WHU have4 points on the mags with a game in hand, and a better GD. Plus they will likely spend in Jan. Mags have:

Chelsea - H
Everton - A
Norwich - H
Arsenal - A
Palace - A
Burnley - H
Soton - A
Sheff U - H
Villa - H
B'mouth - A
WHU - H
City - A
Watford - A
Spurs - H
BHA -A
Liverpool - H

They could easily get sucked in. Usually 34/35 needed it could be close to 40 this year....could they get 4/5 wins from that? Only gimmees from that lot are Norwich and Villa at home.

Mags will be fine. End up on around 42 Pts I reckon.

It's amazing how managers storm the EFL but then cant handle the premiership - mick McCarthy is the same - if you cant set up tactically to stop goals you are doomed -
I don't think it's all black and white. We are trying to play football which is all I can ask after a decade of cloggers and anti football managers. I think what's really clear is that we lack quality. Players like Elmo, Taylor, Lansbury, Hourihane etc. and probably Trez, are just championship quality, and not even good championship quality. So when playing one of the top top teams in Europe it doesn't surprise me we get spanked. It's also a total lack of squad depth. Not having a striker on the pitch is unacceptable unfortunately.
We need a lot of investment and a few years of just stabilising before getting too critical.

I still think we can stay up. We are fighting for the 17th which is what most fans expected, but it's rather annoying to see us playing without a striker, so hopefully that stuff is sorted sooner rather than later.
