Ashes Squad 2025

I can see the argument for Crawley in hard Aussie wickets where there's minimum seam movement with he and Duckett such contrasting styles -must be a nightmare for bowlers having to constantly adjust. However, certainly should have included another opener as a plan B.
They won't change the openers unless one of them gets injured though

I see Farhan is the skipper.

Edit. For the U19's not the lions. Its Rehan in the Lions squad.
I'd hope Farhan would have gone with the Lions too. But he did end up being behind Liam Patterson-White after starting as the main spinner.

Him playing and captaining will be a better use of his time than carrying drinks.

They've gone with Rehan, Hartley and Kellaway as the spinning options in the Lions squad.

Still mad that Boland has a bowling average of 16.5 from 14 tests

That can’t continue given he’s nearly 37. Right?
He looked very average in the last Ashes series - I'd imagine his record at home is far better

Home - 9 Tests, 49 wickets @ 12.63
Away - 4 Tests, 8 wickets @ 37.62

Has insane stats at home, but such a small sample size. Even at 36 he'll be a threat.

Cummins will be a huge loss for them. Hopefully we can capitalise

But myself and others are told off on here for voicing similar views 🤔

The funny, if disturbing thing, is that every time I see his name now I don’t think about the great all round performances. I think about when he got his knob out on twitter

By think, I don’t mull on it or anything.

Anyway. He’s right. We never learn

He's right.

We're wasting time on stupid ideas like Kookaburra balls when it would be more productive to go out there a bit earlier and arrange a couple of warm up games.

The ECB can afford to do that now with their franchise money. The players might be unhappy at being out there a bit longer though.
Good to see TNT Sports are taking this contest seriously.

Next year, Bumble commentates on the Grand National.

Some of the players are out there playing fairly pointless white ball games, when surely it’d be much better doing as has been suggested and getting few red ball warm ups in
