I agree.
Can't believe I am saying this, as I like Test cricket much more, but it would be nice to be world champions for once.

We have won the Ashes a few times in my life, WC never.
Like Sunderland at Wembley, it is a statistic that has to end.
 


If anyone still feels this is worth the World Cup win, you're wrong. I'd take New Zealand's place in that game if it meant we were 3-1 up in the Ashes

A number of England fans would've taken 5 Ashes defeats on the trot for that WC.

One Day Cricket, dare I say, is overtaking test cricket as the most popular form of the game especially with younger fans anyway.

We have never ever won the World Cup, played brilliant entertaining attacking cricket for 4 years which eventually won it.

It’s was simply brilliant.

The semi final performance when we beat the Aussies was as good performance as you can get.

When the pressure was on we absolutely slaughtered them.
