Dropping Root and retaining Carberry is a weird decision in my view. Its a dead rubber and Root will be playing for England for years to come, unlike Carberry. We should stick with young players like him and we will then reap the rewards in years to come.

Delighted for Borthwick. Must be a dream come true for him. Fantastic for Durham to be supplying the England side with two all rounders in one game.

Awful awful shot! If that had been a Englishman would have been lambasted!

Rodgers is a very average cricketer

You're not wrong like. Problem is that we have done that a hell of a lot more often then they have.

Seems to me our batsmen have been in one day mode for much of this series, and surprisingly enough, we have failed to bat through one day more often than not.

Which makes it even more annoying that we are losing 4-0 to em.

Its the spine of the team who have let us down. The established players who have been there and done it before. Cook, Trott, Bell, Pieterson, Swann and Anderson have all been way below par. That's more than half the side. One went home very early due to stress and another thew in the towel. The other 4 have been so far below their best its untrue. Carberry and Root have been out of their depth partly due to not being supported by the senior pros.

You need your senior players to perform and they haven't.
