Probably both are, Leach kept it tight anyway so no issue, Ali is more of a wicket taker I reckon, just dont think he should be written off yet.
Botham rubbing it in that they haven't won like
Bayliss unbeaten at home, not too many coaches can say that over a 4 year period

Feeling quite emotional now. Brilliant summer of cricket.

The quality of play in general has been spotty, some laughable batting- both sides average opening partnerships apparently were 12.5, the lowest in any five match series ever- but it's also been leveraged by some consistently excellent bowling, real once in a lifetime moments and its showcased the drama and battle and narrative power of Test Cricket in particular.

England not good enough to win the Ashes back but Australia not good enough to win the series away either, very accurate really.

I think rain played a part also in the drawn game.
