4 things stand out for me this year alone.

Man Utd away, yes it's easy to be a fan when your 90 minutes away to Wembley but we were fantastic and vocal for the full 120+ minutes.

Wembley the whole weekend again we were class and the numbers that were down on the Saturday night must of been 10000+ In Covent Garden and we were superbly well behaved.

Southampton being 8-0 down the support still didn't boo the players and still sang.

Palace despite the previous away game to sell out on a Monday night game in London that was on TV was again fantastic support.

Still chuckle at that afternoon/night - managing to get from one pub to another simply by following the oh vito mannoni chants - then literally bumping into @Sneech in Leicester Square.

Man City away , relegated, sang ''always look on the bright side of life''..cheered for the manager and the players, held our heads high.
[/Jardine]But we got relegated...thats no cause to celebrate, our fans cheering mediocrity[/Jardine]

I only became a Sunderland fan by proxy through my father. As a kid, I grew up with full rights to Liverpool or Everton. My dad took me to my first match - Liverpool vs Sunderland. Despite arriving as a 10 year old Liverpool well-wisher, I left as a Sunderland fan. That was solely due to Sunderland's support whilst losing the match. The players were crap but the fans drew me in. Possibly the best thing about this club in my lifetime so anyone questioning the fans needs to question themselves. Even the other week at Palace, we were dire despite winning but the away supporters were immense. I have lost count of the amount of hammerings I have watched the team receive whilst still happily singing and turning back out.

A great example is the support Jozy receives each time he comes on - in the stadium it is full support - anyone reading here would think we hate him, but at a match it is entirely different.

The two things I hate are, how this board does not represent what support is shown in the stadiums and people using posts from here to prove what happens or happened in a stadium.
Superb:)

We got off the tube and walked through Leicester Sq the Vito chants got louder and louder as we walked through, it was mental. It seemed everyone you bumped into had a mackem accent.

Well some you win and some you loose . Hope you weren't waiting for phase 3 ;)
I got tickets for both. Thank fuck for having a teacher mate that couldn't get the time off for Old Trafford and my Aunties 60th birthday falling on Wembley weekend so my uncle couldn't go.

get italy on man its all kicking off oi oi!

The ability to have a laugh at ourselves is what separates us from the mags. It is why this board is so much fun even when the results are not, if you sort of know what I mean. We have learned to somehow enjoy the ride even if at times half the f***ing wheels are missing.
when you think its all going well thats when you worry:lol:
