Aye, but expecting us to be beating a team 43 places above us. With a 72 million pound winger and a 50 million pound centre half, is a show of somebody who's support is a bit unrealistic.
I didn't expect us to beat them and never said so. I would hope the owner and whoever is in charge of recruitment will recognise there is work to be done, and money to be spent to get us out of Div 3 asap and have us competitive in the Championship. From the response it would appear I am in the minority for which I make no apologies.

Our supporters were magnificent, some of our build up play was way higher than L1 , but the defensive frailties were there for all to see.
No ball winner in midfield, which must be top priority in January and a more pragmatic approach away from home against the better teams
We have the base to win the league if we strengthen in the right areas and pick the right team and tactics

Premier league team beat 3rd division team, what were you expecting you “look at me” prick

You’re probably one of these “because were Sunderland” hang onto history knuckle draggers.

Man City beat Leeds 7-0 last week, Arsenal aren’t Man City and we certainly aren’t Leeds, we were by no means disgraced, grow up man.

We didn't have to play Arsenal for our owner or board to know that there is work to be done mate.

It was just a bit of a clown post by yourself and you're now (and rightly so) getting pulled up for it.

It will mate and its our biggest hurdle. I'm not saying we'd be challenging at the top of we went up but I reckon our midfield would be absolutely fine against other teams who get it down and play
Yeah I’ve been critical of LJ but I thought tonight against a good side, we showed what we are trying to achieve.
I think he struggles with his vision sometimes and how we need to scrap to get out this division.

Arsenal kids were superb tonight. Not going to have a pop at any of our lot because as much as the effort was there the class clearly wasn’t and that’s no fault of theirs.

Neil and Broadhead showed they can play at a decent level
I thought Broadhead stood out. Neil looked ok but needed to focus a bit more

Don’t want a defensive midfielder it’s a false economy as they are usually shite and the term defensive is a euphemism for can’t play football.

Smith-Rowe, Nketiah and Odegaard would get into the starting line up of any team outside the top 6 as a front three with ease. Hell with Aubameyang looking on his way out, that might well be 3 of Arsenal's front 4 in the second half of the season.

Cedric is top quality and Leno in goal is still a very good quality PL keeper.

That was a very strong 'reserve' side in my eyes.
They would easily beat bottom half premier league teams.

This is a solid post imo.

Of course you have define who you thought did well and didn’t

Well, Doyle was absolutely crap but he'll improve and isn't our player. The stand out naff player who gets regular games for us was Flanners, looked way out of his depth. Gooch didn't exactly shine but you have to ask, is he a left wing back? Pritchard and Neil looked comfortable all night, that horrific attempt at a tackle aside Embleton showed flashed of quality. Winch looked a fair bet to make a step up. Hume was a disaster but I'll cut him some slack, he's barely kicked a ball for yonks.
